The 2026 Connecticut Garlic & Harvest Festival: October 10 to 11 at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds on Route 61 in Bethlehem, Litchfield County. Adult admission $10, children under 12 $1, cash only at the gate. The festival dates to 2005.
Food: roasted garlic sausage, wood-fired garlic pizza and garlic ice cream. Dozens of growers selling seed garlic, plus cooking demonstrations, live music and craft vendors.
Riverton and Southington overlap the garlic festival
Two other Connecticut events overlap October 10 to 11. The Riverton Fair (October 9 to 11, also in Litchfield County, $10 adult admission, the same as the garlic festival) shares both days. Its first day, Friday, October 9, falls outside the garlic festival dates.
The Southington Apple Harvest Festival: October 2 to 11 across two weekends in Hartford County. Its second weekend, October 9 to 11, overlaps the garlic festival.
The weekend before, October 2 to 4, had the Harwinton Fair, the Portland Agricultural Fair and the first Southington weekend.
Three Bethlehem events from September to December
The Bethlehem Fair used the same fairgrounds on September 11 to 13, a month before the garlic festival, with adult admission at $12.
In December: the Christmas Town Festival, December 4 to 5, with the special holiday postmark at the post office, craft vendors, food, music and a tree lighting.

As of September 20, the organizer’s site listed hours of 9am to 6pm on Saturday, October 10 and 9am to 5pm on Sunday, October 11.
