In a demolition derby, a field of cars, usually older sedans stripped of glass and interior trim for safety, is driven in tight circles or figure-eights and deliberately collided. Drivers are eliminated as their cars stall out or become inoperable. The last car still able to move wins the heat.
Several Connecticut agricultural fairs were listed with a demolition derby, including the Woodstock Fair, the Hebron Harvest Fair, the Four Town Fair, the Terryville Lions Country Fair, and the Bridgewater Country Fair.
