An oxen draw (or ox pull) is a competition where a yoked team of oxen drags a progressively heavier weighted sledge or stone boat as far as possible within a set distance.
In an oxen draw, teams of two oxen pull a weighted sledge (a "stone boat") a short course, with weight added between rounds until only the strongest teams remain. It descends from working farm competitions that tested plow and haul teams.
